The Downstream Collection
The Downstream Collection is:
A body of photographic processes that observe and discuss water and climate change in Western America, but specifically in California. The body consists of separate projects that each exhibit a different process an subject matter such as the tributaries of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, Climate conditions during the 2017-2018 winter, the Central Valley Agricultural system, Water Management, and Glaciers and their reportage of the Sierra Nevada. Some prints are from processes that allow the artist hand to manipulate the image seen in conjunction with the chemicals used, while others are literal impressions of climate, precipitation and light at specific locations- some are a combination of both. Every print is one of a kind with non-repeatable results.
